AppleBell Radio EP012 – Define Your Own Rules for Success

Success is a very tricky word.  What does it even mean?  As it turns out, simply adopting others’ definitions of success can be a little problematic.  For this week’s episode, we have a special guest, our friend Garrett Cathcart, to help us tackle this very important topic.

If we know one for sure, it is that words like happiness and success do not have universal definitions – they depend greatly on your individual goals and values.  In this podcast, we share some personal stories about our search for ‘success’.  Unfortunately, we can’t offer much of a formula, because ultimately, life is your game to play and YOU get to make the rules.

After listening, we’d encourage you to take some time to think about how you currently define success.  Have you ever given it much thought?  If not, you might be surprised at what you come up with.  Regardless, at least now you’ll be making conscious decisions that are aligned with your values.  Even if that doesn’t change much, adding some awareness and intention to your decision-making process is always a good thing!

We’d love to hear how you define success, and how you reached your definition.  Send us your thoughts!

On this episode of AppleBell Radio, we debunk the fixed mindset and share some strategies for improving your life physically, mentally, and emotionally.  Adopt the growth mindset and the world will really open up for you!

AppleBell Radio EP010 – Why Boundaries Matter

Over the past 10 years, we’ve seen a really powerful trend toward embracing words like authenticity and vulnerability.  This is great news.  People like Brene Brown and Esther Perel have helped us to adopt a new framework and re-think what it means to be truly connected.  However, one component of the equation is often overlooked – Boundaries.

Whether it is resisting the temptation to overshare, learning to say no, or addressing inappropriate behavior, our ability to set clear boundaries is the key to unlocking the most generous and compassionate selves.

In this week’s episode, we get into some ways to identify and set boundaries in your personal and professional life.  If you’re the type that loves to help others and is driven to do ‘more’, chances are, you could use some help with boundaries.
